About Jess
I am a Clinical Psychologist and Psychodynamic Psychotherapist based in Melbourne. I have experience across a range of settings including private practice, private hospitals, alcohol and drug services, domestic violence and sexual assault services, child and family services and university clinics. I am experienced in working with the following presentations:
Anxiety (feelings of overwhelm, work stress, health concerns, adjustment to life transitions, existential anxieties, panic attacks, worry about a range of issues)
Depression (low mood, lack of pleasure in daily life, feelings of emptiness or hopelessness, suicidal thoughts, sleeping difficulties)
Interpersonal issues (conflict or disconnection in romantic and family relationships, grief and loss, attachment issues, parenting issues, sexual issues, social anxiety, social isolation)
Self esteem issues (low self worth, poor self care, perfectionistic tendencies, chronic guilt and shame, )
Complex trauma (domestic violence, sexual abuse, childhood abuse, intergenerational trauma, vicarious trauma, survivors of war, road trauma, near death experiences)
Alcohol and drug use (harmful substance use, substance dependence)
Eating issues (restrictive eating, binge eating, body image issues)
My aim as a therapist is to provide a non judgemental, supportive therapeutic relationship that fosters curiosity and care for one’s life. Compassion, hope and an understanding of the challenges of being human guide my practice.
