About Jess

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Psychodynamic Psychotherapist based in Melbourne. I have experience working with people from all kinds of backgrounds who are facing a wide range of life challenges. Before private practice I worked in domestic violence and sexual abuse services, alcohol and drug services and child and family services.

I have been trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, but have always been most drawn to psychoanalytic and psychodynamic frameworks. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a depth based form of therapy that focuses on self understanding and self liberation from within a holding therapeutic relationship. As a therapist, my aim is to provide a space for care and self reflection. I support patients to understand the origins of their distress, learn more about their strengths and vulnerabilities and explore new ways of being.
